Sketch-Star allows you to do 2D animation right on their website (the website is mini-clips, which has some other cool stuff, like Club Penguin). The tutorials are excellent, showing you how to manipulate objects and characters. I use this at the end of my stop-time animation unit in Jr. High Music, Media & Tech class, right after spending a day using Pencil 0.4.
